STD-reception, information in english
At our reception you can receive help if you suspect that you may have been infected with a sexually transmitted infection (STI), or if you just want to get tested to be sure that you are well. Anybody who wish to be tested for STI are welcome.
Costs
Tests and treatment for sexual transmitted diseases that goes under the government laws for disease control (SmL), is without cost.
If you have had a letter from a partner, so called partner letter (partnerbrev), the visit is for free.
Other visits costs 300 Swedish crowns.
Booked reception doctor/nurse
If you have symptoms or received a so called partner letter (partnerbrev) contact our nurse by phone to book an appointment. Don’t forget to bring this letter to the reception.
If you and your current partner have no symptoms, you are welcome to our nurse reception, book this appointment at 1177.se
Be sure to bring your valid ID-card or if you are an asylum seeker, bring your LMA-card.
Important – read this before your visit
Do not urinate at least two hours before your visit.
Tests for chlamydia and gonorrhoea can not be taken if women have ongoing menstruation.
How to find us
We’re situated at hud/könsmottagning, Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus, Borås.
Go trough the main entrance at the hospital and register at the central reception. After you have registered go to the right, take stairs or elevator H to the second floor.
